So, last Friday, as I had a touch of the stomach flu, my sweet husband brought home dinner for us from Panera. Yummy! I had a some chicken noodle soup, the kids had some PB & J and Mike had a tasty soup/sandwich combo. The kids meal happened to come with a drink and since we are on a chocolate milk kick here, choco choco is what he chose. (Choco choco happens to be our code word for chocolate milk) Being a foo foo kinda place, the milk was organic. Horizon Organic, to be exact. I decided to look at the labeling and noticed these words.
Refrigerate After Opening
This is organic milk, there are to be no preservatives in it and as far as I could see, I did not see any listed. The expiration date was sometime late 2008. Now, I have to ask, is milk that is not refrigerated with an insanely long shelf life really safe to drink, let alone healthier for you? Hmmmmm?

Was the mild cold when the kids opened it??? Interesting????
What prompted you to put the grad picture of yourself on the blog. If you had BELL Hair, then I must of had FLUFF Hair. It was the 90's. We could have had a lot bigger and even more styled hair. Think back to your hair style right before the graduation one. LONG and Thick. Just like mine. Oh to be young and naive we were.
Okay, so you prompted research on my part and I, of course, started with Joe (the encyclopedia I'm married to). And, yep, he figured it out. I guess he drank some of this in Africa and it is popular in Europe. Check out UHT (Ultra-high-temperature) processing on wikipedia. I guess McDonalds uses it in their McFlurries. Funny how it is popular in Europe but they can't quite get Americans to buy it. Gee, I wonder why...
