Over 2 lbs of Tomato

In one tomato. Pretty impressive, huh? This baby weighed 2 lbs 4.5 oz, thus beating Marc's (Mike's granddad) throw-down weight of 2 lbs. 4 oz. We only picked four of this variety (Big Italian) but we harvested over eight lbs. Not too bad - it'll make some good salsa or probably tomato juice.

In case you were wondering what the inside looks like....(btw - I'm saving seeds)

Wow! I'll have to show Dean (my tomato loving husband) this one!

Salsa sounds good. My tomatoes are really doing well. Lots of variety. One plant has so many the stems are breaking. Is that your sunflowers behind Luke? Are they headed out yet?

Yep, those are sunflowers behind Luke. They are just starting to bloom. I think the tallest is about 8 ft which is shorter than the 10-12 I was hoping for!

I made BLT's last night with one of our monster tomatoes. It covered the entire slice of toast. It is amazing how big they grow. I don't think I have anymore this big in the garden though. But I could be wrong.
