We made it through...

We made it through a really bad week of the stomach bug here at house. Everyone had it. Ick! I will not dwell on it but I am so thankful that God makes our bodies to fight off infections (even if the methods are some what disgusting).

But I have to share. I just have to! Spring will be coming (I'm ignoring the projected high of 4 degrees above zero for Saturday). So I am getting my garden plan and seeds together. Here are some of the things I'm planning on growing.

Broccoli - for the first time!
Little Gem Lettuce - first time!
Roma Tomatoes
Lemon Boy Tomatoes
California Wonder Peppers
Anaheim Peppers
Jalapeno Peppers
Serrano Peppers
Cilantro
Onions
Stevia - first time - hope it germinates!
Dill
Cucumbers
Long Island Cheese Pumpkins
Butternut Squash
Zucchini (I'm going to try a row cover to keep that darn bug away!)

And a whole bunch of flowers - cosmos, zinnias, petunias, four o'clocks and all the perennials that are already out there.

Oh, I can't wait to get started! I know I need to wait another month before I can start the broccoli and lettuce seeds but I am pretty pumped about this year. Can you tell? Oh, and I hope to maybe sell some of the plants I start. I don't need all those peppers! I'm going to have to figure out where all these plants are going to go.....but then, that's half the fun. :)

Sounds like a salsa garden to me.

I share your enthusiasm, just not your organization...yet. I've got to look further back in your posts to see the thingy you rigged up in the basement to start your seeds. What is your last frost date out there & when do you usually start your seeds?
Any more eager for summer & my eyes would be green!
