Abby got to dance in public for the first time last night. She did a great job! She knew all the moves and was quite the leader of the pack. She also got that sparkle in her eye - the one she gets when she knows she's cute and everyone is paying attention to her. Here she is in what I and another mom call the "saloon girl" costumes. There really is a whole other sub-culture that I was completely unaware of - I think it is closely related to the pageant culture. Interesting.

Adorable! I was a "dancer" for Halloween many years to get more use out of all those recital costumes we had to buy. And yes, it's an interesting sub-culture, but not as weird as pageants! Those moms have issues.
Beautiful!!! Reminds me of Annie's first recital. I was the mom that didn't know you put glitter and makeup on your 4 year old and had to take a crash course so that I wouldn't disappoint again. Enjoy this time, it flies way to fast!!! Love to you all, Holly
Wish I could have been there to see another little Richard gal dancing--takes me back to Susan's recitals and shows. Time flies!
