Thrush...the beast that wouldn't die!

During our trip to IN/IL, we discovered that Abby and I had thrush. A couple days of gentian violet later, a call was made to Abby's pediatrition as to what to do. Nystatin was prescribed and she's been on it since. I also was prescribed Nystatin a few days later. After some changes to my diet and some other precautions - we are finally getting a hold on it. I'm taking Abby in for an appointment on Wednesday to make sure that it is ALL gone and that I'm free and clear as well. We'll see what happens. The question I'm asking myself is what is God trying to teach me with this trial. Patience? Endurance? Dependence on Him? I'm sure I'll figure it out in no time. Perhaps I'll be able to encourage another mom going through the same ordeal.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of
compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles,
so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves
have received from God."
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
