Hello. My name is Tanna and I'm a compulsive weeder.

Yes! Yes! The weather is warm! Time to get outside and stare at the ground! Time to put those seedlings outside and get them hardened off! Wow, is that a weed? It must go!

Okay, I am a garden wierdo.

There is something that gives me a thrill this time of year. I can walk out barefoot and look at the mostly mulch covered beds and see new life emerging. It is a beautiful awakening. This is why I love perennials so much - they come to life again, virtually springing from the ground with a leap and declaring, "yes! I am alive!" As I scan the beds, I always see the little weeds that also like to make their presence known. I get great joy in plucking them, ending their life in one short jerk of the hand. Mmmmmwwwaaaaahhhhhaaaaaa.

God's wonderful design of the earth, it is truly awesome in an awe inspiring way. I've mentioned this before but God started us out in a garden. Jesus used gardening parables to get His points across. He also went to pray in a garden before His crucifixion and then they buried Him a garden. And when the Millennial Kingdom comes, Israel will once again be fruitful - a wonderful place to garden for the Lord.

Isaiah 53:1 The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing.

Therefore, I think my hobby of gardening is a worthwhile one. :)

So here's what I've got going on now. Enjoy the pictures!

You did an awesome job. I so need you here to give me a big push to get started. Our yard is newly landscaped, but I must say, they didn't do a very good job. Plus our grass, if you can call it that, is I think half grass/half weeds. So since you get such pleasure, come and help me pull!

I think you need to change your name to Martha Stewart's protege! It looks great. I wish I could be half as organized as you!!
