Little imitators

Sometimes, I am truly struck by how much our children act like us (and no, I'm not talking about the fit throwing). Abby and I were bustin' a move to Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones (it was on the oldie station on our cable tv). She has developed some of my dance moves. I'd try something new and then she'd do it too. It was really entertaining (especially for Mike - hehehe).

Anyway, here's a list of some other imitations I've witnessed lately:

  • Abby said while grabbing the broom, "This place is a mess!"
  • Luke to Abby "Go use the potty NOW!"
  • Abby feeding (yes, pretending to nurse) her baby
  • Libby making "o" with her mouth when you "o" at her and smiling when smiled at
  • Luke wanting to comb his hair just like Daddy's
  • Abby asking "How do I look?"
  • Luke and Abby both asking Daddy - "So, how was your day?" at the dinner table
  • Abby sitting at the computer and "typing" - she does this continually! - hmm

Does Luke still say "well, actually"? I don't think I heard it while we were there.

Hehehehe - sometimes he does - but not nearly as often. I remember last summer it was all the time! Then I'd hear myself "well, actually...." lol
