Much to Luke's chagrin, we did not see any dinosaur fossils. However, walking around the Devonian Gorge, we did see thousands, perhaps millions, of fossils of sea shells and coral. It is cool to think that there once was a tropical sea over Iowa (perhaps after a world wide flood? hmmm?) and get to see some of the past preserved for us to see and study.

How do you find these places? I've never even heard of that gorge. Looks like a fun place!
