Dearest Marc, Mike's grand dad and bearer of mystery seeds, called last night. I had tried calling him a day or so before but was unable to get a hold of him. I had previously thought that he had given me minature red popcorn seeds but no ears were being produced and a nagging suspicion led me to believe that I had guessed wrongly.
Marc said, "Does the top kinda stick out like a broom?"
"Yes"
"Does that give you any ideas?"
"Nooooo"
I'm afraid I might have let Marc down because I don't believe I've even heard of broom corn before last night. He expected more out of me, me being a farm girl and all. Oh well, I do believe I've been properly "city-fied."

My dad was having so much fun, but hoped he hadn't upset you with the "mystery seeds." He's already working on some new mystery seeds for next year's garden.
