Dashed in the wake of technology, that is. There are times when I think I sing like a bird and dance like an alpha ballerina (hehehe - just made that term up). However, since we've discovered the free Karaoke channel on our cable and purchased Dance Dance Revolution for the Wii (an early anniversary present!), I've come to the sad realization that I'm just plain bad - lacking immensely in the talent arenas that seem so plausible while taking my morning shower. So, I've confirmed to myself that I will never try out for American Idol, and thus, I'll never be a Star on Dancing With The Stars. Yes, America will have to do without seeing my name in lights.
Thank you God, for keeping me humble!

At least you had illusions of your singing dancing ability.- I have known for about 30 1/2 years that I truely and sincerly SUCK in both areas.

I haven't heard you sing too much, and, as far as dancing goes, I remember at your wedding when the gals lined up on one side and the guys lined up on the other side and you all sang and danced to a really neat "California Girls" song.
The standard I live by "Be loud and be proud!!" My kids laugh constantly at my dancing but not as hard as DH, but who cares I'm a happier mommy & wife if I do it. Plus, I seem to be making them happy too by doing it. :) (My kids are old enough to be embarassed yet!)
