I'm trying to get into the habit of menu planning. I heard Donna Otto say in one of her podcasts that menu planning is the single most thing that you can do to help save money and time. Right now, I'm only planning supper menus for one week at a time. It seems as though we need to go to the grocery store for milk and fruit at least once a week so we might as well go armed with a list for that week instead of trying to come up with more than 7 menu ideas. So this week I thought I would post my menu for this week. I use the calendar function at google.com. If any of you would like to do this and hook up with mine then we could share menu ideas. In fact, I might think that your menu looks better than mine and swap!
Monday: Grilled Chicken and Southwest Pasta Salad
Tuesday: Chili & Butter Corn Bread
Wednesday: Cheesy Chicken, Broccoli & Rice Bake and Lettuce Salad (I'll make extra chicken tonight to put in this casserole)
Thursday: Beef & Noodles in Thai Peanut Sauce and Lettuce Salad
Friday: Chicken Tortilla Soup
Saturday: White bean ragu on Pasta (and probably Lettuce Salad)
Sunday: Leftovers!

Once again, way to ambitious for me. We are have chicken and stuffing casserole for supper. Nothing special. Your meals sound delicious. Such variety. Sunday's meal is the best way to go.
PS LOVE THE SIGNATURE
We're working on a 2 week rotating dinner menu here and a 1 week rotating breakfast and lunch menu. Your menu sounds yummy!
In the past I've used menu4moms.com which has weekly dinner menus that the email you with recipes for free. The recipes were simple, used basic ingredients and quite tasty. This might help those who are planning challenged, like myself.

Happy planning! Like Wanda says "way to ambitious for me" -Thankfully my hubby comes up with ideas most of the time! :)
I've been doing a menu & it really does help with the budget! I'll try to work on an online menu to share, but I must warn you...very boring.
Sara,
Too funny. After I posted my menu, I also found Menu Plan Monday as well. It is kinda fun to see what everyone else is eating and when it lines up with what you're making.
