Monday was my sweet Elizabeth's birthday. She spent the day smiling and singing "Happy Birthday" to herself....and asking for cake. Ahhhh, yes the cake. The design of the cake struck up some discord between Luke and Abby. Luke drew out a diagram of how the cake should look with flowers and butterflies and buzzing bees (including the little black dashed trail markings of where the bee had flew). Abby wanted a princess on the cake. This debate occurred over several days. Finally, I sat both Luke and Abby down and explained that "Mommy isn't the greatest cake decorator." and "I'm going to include 'Libby' and 'Happy Birthday' on the cake." They were a little shocked at my omission and said that they "would help and show me how." Libby was content with just getting a cake. In fact, as soon as she saw it baked without the frosting she started begging for some. Here is a picture of what I came up with:Here is a picture of the birthday girl enjoying the cake:
She loved opening her presents. She got several new books, a nightgown, three beautiful outfits, a hat and fairy wings and skirt. Wow, those wings really hit a home run with her. She loves them! She figured she could fly with them on - that's what the video is showing you. A quick apology for my camera skills...

Well, happy birthday! I always thought that it was strange that the kid gets the birthday wishes, mom did all the work, so happy birthday Tanna!
Happy Birthday Little Sweaty!!! I am so glad she loves the wings. It was just a quick thought at the dollar store. I hope Mommy and you like the dresses.
Tanna, The cake is beutiful. I am not the best cake artist either, Libby's is really nice. I do have fun making and decorating their cakes myself instead of buying them.
Loved the flying video! She's very creative and it was so sweet of Luke to help her get off the ground -- like a big brother.
Grandma Richard
Happy Birthday Libby, how quickly the time flies!!!
