What would you do? Part 2

Thank you for posting your comments to the first part of this story. And if you haven't yet read that post, then you really must go back and read it before you go any further. ;)

So, I had my choices. But the one I chose, was to, yes, indeed, reach my hand in and grab the pens. Had the bathroom not been so spotless, I may have opted just to walk out, but I thought to myself - "What would I want someone to do for me?" See, in my very first job, I had to clean restrooms. Not something I relished but it was part of the job. I would have been very upset to have found items from someone's purse floating in the potty. And, I'm a mom. I've been peed on, pooped on, and thrown up on. I grew up on a farm and we know cows aren't potty trained ;). And sometimes, you just need to deal. I SCRUBBED my hands. Then I scrubbed some more. Then, when I got into the car, I rubbed generic Purell all over. I never got sick and I've no weird growths. The only harm was psychological and that I can get over. Maybe this post is some weird attempt at catharses.

I'll make an admission. I kept NONE of the pens. Nope, not even the nice one. It wasn't that nice and if we've done without using it for a long time, we can do without it.

That's funny! I did read the posts, in order, just so ya know. And you're totally right about the mom thing - you've faced worse than that before & managed to survive. But you didn't keep the pen????!!!?? Haa haahaha!! I wouldn't either!
